1. Introduction
Welcome to Metiriye ("The Platform"), a Ghana-based web application offering weekly games of chance where registered users can participate for a chance to win prizes. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Platform.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Age Requirement: To participate, you must be at least 13 years old. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2.2 Jurisdiction: The Platform is accessible to residents of Ghana and those legally permitted to participate in online games of chance in Ghana. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with Ghanaian laws and regulations governing online gaming.
3. Contest Rules
3.1 Game of Chance: The weekly contest on the Platform is purely based on chance. Winning is not dependent on skill or strategy. The outcome of each contest is determined randomly, providing an equal opportunity for all participants.
3.2 Free Participation: The game of chance is free to play, and users will not be required to pay any fees to participate. However, ads may appear on the Platform.
3.3 Duration of Contest: Each contest’s duration may vary weekly. Start and end times will be displayed on the Platform, and it is your responsibility to review these details to ensure participation within the specified time frame.
3.4 Unlimited Attempts: Registered users may attempt the game as many times as they wish during the contest period. Each attempt may not have an equal chance of winning.
3.5 Tie-Breaking Draw: In cases where more than one participant wins, a random draw will be conducted to determine the final winner.
4. Prizes
4.1 Prize Details: Prizes may vary weekly and will be specified at the start of each contest.
4.2 Non-Transferability: Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation.
4.3 Notification and Claiming of Prizes: Winners will be notified via the contact information provided during signup. If a winner does not respond within 3 days, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected at the Platform’s discretion.
5. Playground Rules
5.1 Playground Structure
- Practice Ground: This area allows users to experience the game mechanics without the possibility of winning prizes.
- Prize Ground: This area offers users the opportunity to win monetary prizes as specified within the game.
5.2 Game of Chance All games within the Playground are games of chance. Winning is determined randomly and is not based on skill or strategy. Every participant has an equal opportunity to achieve a favorable outcome in each individual play.
5.3 Free Participation Participation in the Practice Ground is always free. Participation in the Prize Ground is also free; however, advertisements may be displayed within the Playground.
5.4 Unlimited Attempts Registered users may play the games on both the Practice Ground and the Prize Ground as many times as they wish. However, please note that each individual play in the Prize Ground constitutes a separate chance to win, and multiple attempts do not guarantee a win.
5.5 Prizes (Prize Ground Only)
- Prize Details: The monetary prize(s) available for winning a game on the Prize Ground will vary and will be clearly specified within each Prize Ground game.
- No Ties - Guaranteed Prize: When a user wins a game on the Prize Ground, they will receive the stated prize. There are no tie-breaking scenarios; a win results in an award.
- Prize Payout: Winnings from the Prize Ground will be processed and paid out to the winning user via mobile money within 24 hours of the win being confirmed. Users must ensure their registered mobile money details are accurate for successful payout.
6. Registration
6.1 Account Registration: To participate in contests, users must register an account on the Platform. Users agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep this information updated. Upon winning a prize if we realize any information provided is not accurate or up to date the prize will be forfeited
6.2 Single Account: Only one account per user is permitted. Creating multiple accounts will result in disqualification and possible suspension of all related accounts.
6.3 Communications Consent: By registering, you consent to receive communications regarding your participation in contests and notifications of prizes.
7. Responsible Play
7.1 The Platform is intended solely for entertainment purposes. While users are permitted unlimited attempts per contest, we encourage responsible play and suggest users limit their participation in line with their resources.
8. Disqualification
8.1 Prohibited Conduct: Attempts to interfere with contest outcomes, such as using automated entries or engaging in disruptive behavior, will result in immediate disqualification.
8.2 Right to Modify or Disqualify: The Platform reserves the right to cancel or amend any contest and disqualify any participant at its discretion in cases of suspected cheating, fraud, or abusive behavior.
9. Platform Access and Availability
9.1 Access Limitations: While we strive to keep the Platform accessible, interruptions due to maintenance or technical issues may occur. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by such interruptions.
9.2 Suspension or Discontinuation: The Platform reserves the right to suspend or discontinue services or any contest without prior notice or liability.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1 Data Collection: By participating, you consent to our collection and use of personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy, including data collection for contest administration, prize distribution, and user communications.
10.2 Data Security and Sharing: Your personal data is securely stored, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. We comply with Ghanaian data protection laws and are committed to protecting your privacy.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 No Liability for Loss or Damage: The Platform and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in any contest or the use of the Platform.
11.2 Technical Malfunctions: We are not responsible for technical issues, including hardware or software malfunctions, which may affect your ability to participate in contests.
12. Modification of Terms and Conditions
12.1 Right to Update Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Platform following any changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
